Defensive marketing doesn’t sell… because you’re speaking to YOUR doubts about your work & sending out “I don’t trust the value of my work!” vibes to potential clients.

That’s why it is SO important to have confidantes that will encourage you and feed your motivation and belief- NOT reinforce your fears and doubts.

Many new entrepreneurs make the mistake of waiting to get help until they see profit… But help is what gets them TO profit faster.

Most experts estimate 2-3 years on average for a new business to see profit. Do you want to wait that long for the help you know you need NOW? Do you want to wait that long for profit in general?

Here’s why getting help now is the financially responsible move.

Your work has ripple effects. Every time your marketing touches one person enough to share it with their people, new people are brought into your world. Your next sale is so much closer than you think it is.

Are you expecting yourself to “just get over” an emotional reaction that is blocking you from effectively marketing your business? A block you were deeply conditioned to have through lots of painful reinforcement over the years?

If so, that is not a fair or realistic expectation. Here’s a much more helpful and effective approach.

The more you actually talk to your aligned customers, the better your marketing gets. Plus, it’s WAY EASIER to close a new client over an actual conversation than it is to over DMs alone.

You know what you need to do for marketing- or at least you have several ideas about things to try. You know how to Google. You probably have some courses you bought you could go watch.

But something keeps happening between knowing what to do and actually doing it.

Here’s why more information isn’t the answer- and what actually is.

You don’t have to buy everything your coach says. For example: “it’s never about the money” when someone declines your offer.

It’s OK for your aligned clients not to have access to incredibly privileged sums of money. They deserve help too. They deserve support too.  And from a coach who doesn't accidentally or intentionally shame them for this.

And don’t worry, your clients don’t have to be rich for you to be handsomely paid. You just need a strategy that works for your situation, not a one-size-fits all one.

We’ve all heard the saying “comparison is the thief of joy” and the online business world is rife with warnings about compare and despair.

But when you look at the businesses of those you admire, there is one thing it is helpful to compare.

Your messaging alone can create enough of an incentive to buy now rather than later (or never). No need for a Cart Close date if you don’t want one. No need to keep slashing your prices or throwing in a bunch of bonus freebies and burning yourself out on delivery. When powerful enough, your messaging alone will do the trick. Here’s how.

The “What If?” Game can kill your marketing mojo, if you use it to circle the negativity drain. May I propose 11 way better “what ifs” for entrepreneurs? These “What Ifs” have helped me and countless clients spiral into expansion, opportunity, and joyful growth.
